Juggling Work & Life
Hi all and welcome to the Patreon monthly update post for April. I would say sorry for it being slightly late this month but I'm a few days earlier than last month so at least we're moving in the right direction! And it has been one hell of a busy period since pretty much last Friday until today.
A recurring theme from these posts over the years has been the difficulty in juggling life aspects and work matters. I've gotten to a pretty good point now where I have a set amount of time for work and I base my activities like which videos to make and what to do on streams around that. But that sort of thing gets challenged in moments like this where big changes happen. This time that is the arrival of the in-laws who are staying with us for the next two weeks. Getting the house cleaned in preparation for that after an already busy weekend of streams and real life racing mean I'm running pretty much on empty at the moment.
But the videos and streams can't just stop, so I have to flip the script in a way and instead of setting out periods of work and having real life fit around that, I have to fit my work around my real life commitments. It's a tricky change at least in the early stages until I settle into what will be my new normal for a few weeks. But as with everything it will all return to normal eventually - it's just that this is where I'm at this month as I write this post (and also why it's a few days later than normal).
I'm nevertheless looking forward to a good month of videos and streams, with a fun announcement towards the end of the month if all goes well. See you there!
