Time For A Nice Break
Hi all and welcome to August's monthly update post, where I find myself in another off-season when it comes to my content. Ever since June's Mercenaries DLC I've felt a bit burnt out with GTA, and honestly racing and gaming in general for a bit as well. I pared down on the racing side of things throughout July and now it's the off-season I can embrace the no-GTA side of things too.
There's actually a lot of games I have on my list to try this month. From Viewfinder to Killer Frequency, Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe to No Man's Sky, I'm really going to be experimenting this month with new experiences. I'm open to something really catching my attention and keeping it going further into the future, but I'm also okay with not having anything really captivate me. That's been the way with me and games for a reasonable amount of time now (which is why I've been enjoying going back and doing the older GTA games) so nothing will be lost if that ends up being the case. The best thing this month will be the ability to take a break from GTA and the usual merry-go-round of content creation, in order to give my brain a rest and come back fresh for 2023 Season 3 in September.
I'm also planning a short trip away with Zearxy in the second half of August which I'm really excited for. The plan is to completely switch off from internet/phones/tech and it's been a long time since I last did that. I'm even going so far as to not upload any videos that week so I'm not even tempted to look at comments or see how videos are doing. But then as always I'll soon be back with the usual stuff in not too long, though perhaps a bit more fresh and with new ideas to try as well.
I've really enjoyed giving myself these off-season months to mix things up and take breaks - I can't even remember how it used to be when I didn't do this, but it can't have been healthy!
