Another One Bites The Dust
That's another GTA DLC all done and dusted! June was a busy month and my first real test of a heavy workload couple of weeks in this post-baby world, and I'd say it went relatively well. Things that didn't help include Rockstar choosing to release so many vehicles on day one, (meaning I had a lot of testing to do in those first few days) as well as making the Pony available via career rewards then releasing the rest of the drip feed a week later (meaning if I wanted to get one more video out with everything included I'd need to get it unlocked within that week). I was also involved in a very special collaboration where I battled 9 other GTA players in an elimination tournament with the winner taking home $10,000! You'll hopefully be seeing that video before the month is out.
So as I sit here now with all that behind me, I'm obviously happy I managed to get through everything and while it was quite busy initially, I'm also really thankful to Rockstar (for once) for releasing all the cars from this DLC so early. It's only the Covid-affected LS Summer Special DLC in August 2020, where they released all 15 cars on day one, that has had an earlier release of all content that I actually need to test. To have a video up one week after the DLCs release that contains all vehicles, such that I don't need to think about any other drip feed releases for another 6 months in what was an already early DLC (June rather than July), is really really nice. It gives me some breathing room to get to some things done that I want to do before GTA 5 makes way for 6 next year, and allows things to be "current" for a decent chunk of time (for example the testing series and when we update GTACars.net).
So now I will be focusing on the early stages of wrapping things up for GTA 5. I imagine we'll still come back to the game periodically after GTA 6, but certainly not for anything major - so it's important to me to finish it off properly. I'd like to get some more Gfred Survivals in, give Olympic GP a much needed makeover, have GTACars and the GTA Car Showroom finished for GTA 5, among other things. And hopefully the next DLC is the last one and I can post final class specific testing videos for 2026 that will never need changing or updating! It's been a long time coming.
Thanks for being with me on this crazy ride.
