Only 7 Months Left Of This Decade

Welcome all to the monthly post for June. Something just hit me - there are only 7 months remaining in the 201x decade. I currently sit on 196k subscribers on YouTube, over 50k followers on Twitch, and I support myself with this little corner of the internet I've carved out. But the decade didn't start that way.

Apart from a few random gaming videos I uploaded to my channel in the 2006-2009 years, it wasn't really until this decade that I looked to YouTube more seriously with a series of Gran Turismo 5 videos in 2011, then starting proper commentaries in October 2012. One year later the GTA 5 videos came along and things continued from there, with my first live stream being in 2014 and Twitch partnership coming in 2015. It was 2016 that things started to get serious as I got to a point where I could support myself from YouTube & Twitch, and is of course the year that I met Zearxy and moved in with her. 2017 brought some amazing trips (like to the US for TwitchCon) and 2018 saw a marriage proposal alongside continued growth.

2019 has been more of the same so far, but it will be interesting to see how this decade will end and whether I'll be able to hit 200k subs on YouTube before it's out. I find it fun to look back on different times like this and see how things have changed, and if the next decade has half as many changes as this one has it's going to be quite a ride!
