Well On The Way

Hi all and welcome to the monthly update post for March. I'm writing this after having just released the Fastest Muscle Cars video yesterday, and I needed all 29 days of the longer February this year to get it out on time. And with that, the two biggest classes (sports and muscle) and three biggest hurdles (those two classes plus building up a new video from scratch with Supers) are behind me. And it's quite the relief!

All classes from this point on are so much smaller and more manageable than sports and muscle, and with the template for the videos now firmly set up after some early small changes, I'm hopeful of Sports Classics being done in plenty of time for the end of March. Then I'll be able to get on a bi-weekly release schedule with even smaller classes and a lot of the testing already complete for things like SUVs and Sedans. Hopefully those of you who are Tier 1 supporters or higher have been enjoying seeing videos early! I'll always be prioritising the testing videos for that perk, and when we move to two testing videos per month Tier 2 supporters and above will see both early.

I guess that brings us nicely on to what is, I guess, a resurgence of Patreon in my strategy going forward. Especially with the recent announcement that prime subs on Twitch will no longer give the same income as regular subs, I'm finding myself having to think of ways to prepare for the not insignificant loss of income that will come from that. With Patreon being a consistent method of support for me since 2016, and me getting a much higher percentage of any donations than things like YouTube Memberships or Twitch Subscriptions (or anything else really other than direct donations via Streamlabs), I'm trying to add value as much as I can to my offering here. From the new perks of early access to videos and priority questions for Q&A streams, to the classics of early lap time info and early access to these posts, I'm hoping I can do something by the end of the year that I've never done before and reach 100 supporters on Patreon. Just 25 or so more to go!

Thank you all once again for your support over here. Without it I'd be a lot more worried than I am - your generosity and direct support continually helps me bring you the content that I do while also getting through any dips in income elsewhere. It really means a lot and I hope to be able to continue being deserving of your support <3
