Video Making Differences
Hello all and welcome to April’s monthly update! I’m sure you’ve all seen by now my April Fools video about the changes coming to Gfred. I’m really happy with how that one came about and turned out. I generally don’t plan anything in advance for April Fools videos and I think that’s what (hopefully) makes them so good. I try to get a feel for what’s currently going on around my channel and play off that. Delving into the whole awful Gfred run I’ve been having was just too perfect, and was definitely an “ah-ha!” moment when I thought of the idea to play that up for the April Fools video.
It’s funny how videos can be so vastly different in their creation. You’ve got things like Random Alls and Gfreds which are just stream footage made into a video, and then the testing videos which take hours and hours of effort on so many fronts. Then there’s things like the April Fools video which came together in a very short time from conception to release, and the upcoming Fact-Finding video about the new GTA catch-up modes which is taking forever to get over the line. You may have heard me talk about it over the last few months on stream, and perhaps been there when I’ve been doing some testing for it, and it’s still not done! It’s been one of those where every time I’ve tried to do something an issue or weird result has shown itself and I’ve had to rethink and retest things. I’m in the final editing stages now though so it’s definitely close, and the amount of effort and time it’s taken will hopefully make it into a great video, but I’ll be glad once it’s released!
Now that the testing videos for the four main car classes are done, and the catch-up video is close to being done, I’m expecting things to calm down a bit in the “stressing to get videos done in time” front. And with the off-season giving me a chance to take a break from GTA and in general, I’m hoping to have a bit of a relax before things inevitably kick off again in the Summer.
