A New Season Begins
Hi all and welcome to May's monthly Patreon update post. Season 2 began yesterday! For those who don't know, I came up with the idea of seasons to mix up my content a little and allow me to take breaks from the constant need for Gfreds and Random races for example. The first ever off-season, which started in the middle of April after I took a bit of time finalising and implementing the idea, was an absolute joy. It really did mix things up and I had a lot of fun, trying out some new things on streams in addition to just feeling much more free and relaxed while doing them.
Season 2 started yesterday though with the usual GTA early morning racing and I have to say I struggled a little. I was expecting to feel fresh and ready to jump back into some regular racing (as is normally the case when I take a little break) but it just didn't happen. It's making me question whether I've just lost interest completely in it. Or at least the more "standard" racing. I might try to focus this month on some event style races or unique playlist formats. One of the biggest draws of GTA racing is the variety it can give not only in cars and tracks, but also in formats, and I think I should be trying to experience that more.
I'm also looking forward to using this month as a build up in iRacing towards a full assault at a specific series for the next season on there, which starts next month. If the off-season has taught me anything, it's that it seems like my enjoyment of what I'm doing is actually more important to entertaining streams and videos that what I'm actually doing a lot of the time. I'm going to try to keep that in mind <3
