The Value Of A Break (And Some Variety)
Hello everyone and welcome to the monthly Patreon post for June. Last month I talked about the start of a new season, after my implementation of set periods of time during the year where I'd be doing "regular" content, with month-long off-seasons to wind down, relax, and experiment.
Well the first full season got off to an incredible start after I experienced an amazing month of streams, races, and just general good vibes. It actually got off to a pretty poor start if I'm honest, with the first PS4 Saturday morning GTA stream getting back to more of the same racing that left me feeling like nothing had changed. FiveM on the Sunday produced the classic fun, but I was left wanting when it come to what we did on vanilla GTA. I knew I couldn't just keep doing the same racing playlist every Sunday, I needed to switch it up.
For a long time JJ and the Jazz crew guys have been doing tier drop playlists and in an effort to spice things up during seasons I figured it was worth giving it a try. As you probably saw from the video, or the stream if you were there, it was a resounding success. And it led me to realise that it's not just enough to take a break with the off-seasons every few months; I also need to be doing fresh and varied things during seasons too.
So at least when it comes to regular GTA Sunday streams (the best of which makes its way to YouTube) we'll now be doing more, with each platform either doing a regular playlist, special playlist, or special event every month until all platforms have done one of each during a three month season. With me just generally feeling more positive and racing better too, I don't think I've ever enjoyed GTA racing more than right now. Remarkable really after nearly 8 years! I'm really looking forward to the coming months of streams!
