Tired But Ready To Go
Hello everyone! Happy new year and welcome to the first monthly blog post for 2026. And I'm starting a new year already tired.
With Baby1322 struggling with some teething at the moment, and the December off-season being anything but an off-season with a lot of stuff happening for stream, videos, and real life, I'm already a bit on the frazzled side. Thankfully January affords me a little bit of a slow start with not too much to do as I begin a new year of content.
The main thing that's happening of course is MCEC, and my January will be filled with planning for that. There's a lot to do behind the scenes to get everything ready, but I'm already looking forward to the first races on Feb 1st. It will have been 6 years since Season 5 started, and Seasons 1-5 could all have been done again in the time between Seasons 5 and 6, so it's almost going to be a little strange being back hosting it again. I can feel the excitement for it though and I can't wait to really focus on giving a great viewing and driving experience.
With that in mind though, I'm trying to approach this MCEC a little differently. In previous years I've always tried to fit it around other things I do and try to maintain all my other stuff at the same time. And I've always gotten burned out from it. This time I'm aiming to focus more on MCEC for the two months that it's here. That's manifesting itself in me not doing Wednesday streams until April, to give me more time to do all the regular behind the scenes organising that needs to be done each week, alongside only doing regular GTA racing streams on the Saturdays when the MCEC secondary championship isn't happening.
All of this obviously means less "regular" content (Gfreds, random races, etc) during these first few months of the year, but while the MCEC has never been the biggest earner for my channel in comparison to that regular stuff, I do believe I'll be much happier during this season than those before it in addition to having better mental health/less stress. My next monthly post will be after the first round races have happened so I'll let you know how I'm feeling then, but for now it's time to knuckle down and get things sorted.
