Feeling Free
Hi everyone and welcome to June's monthly blog post. Crazy to think we're already nearly at the point where days will start to become shorter again - it feels like we get to this point in less time each year.
I'm feeling a lot lighter than I was last month. After making a bunch of changes to how I treat things and really taking a hard look at whether everything I was doing each month actually needed to be done monthly, I was able to free myself up quite significantly. I moved a significant number of things, like stream points refreshing and goals, longer update posts, spreadsheet and website updates, etc. to be seasonal jobs rather than monthly. Doing this has taken a lot of weight off the responsibilities I have at the start of every month, and instead shifted them to the end of each off-season when I have more freedom naturally. June has been the first test of the cut down monthly tasks and it's been much better already.
Because of that I'm really noticing over the last few weeks that I've managed to get through a lot of long standing items on my to-do lists. That in turn means I'm finally starting to see how GTA 5 ends on my channel. Obviously we'll always come back to the game every now and then, but I'm planning all the ways to say goodbye and wrap up things that are currently unfinished before the November deadline. I'm actually getting through those things as well which is unusual, and it's nice to see to-do lists getting smaller for a change rather than increasing in size. Granted GTA 6 will have it's own ballooning set of things to cover, but I'm really embracing and enjoying this feeling of ticking things off and finishing things up for GTA 5.
The final part of that will be a (hopefully) final DLC of car testing. Will that be this month? Maybe, but it's coming soon and I'm excited to get final car testing videos made and published, that can remain as future reference points without any need for additions or changes. I'm excited to do that for GTA 4 too! But more about that next month I think. See you then!
