New Schedule & Patreon Rewards
So first thing's first - I've added a new reward tier at $20 for the ability to download and keep locally 5 videos each month from my entire back catalogue in much higher quality than you'll ever get on YouTube. You can check out the full reward listing on my main Patreon page. Obviously as with all rewards anyone pledging a higher amount can already take advantage of this.
I've actually noticed a significant improvement in the uptake of people willing to support me here on Patreon since I revamped my whole reward tier system. I feel like I've added much more value to the reward levels that we used to have in addition to adding more diverse reward tiers so people can get some value regardless of what they want to give. The $2 & $3 tiers especially have made me feel a lot more confident in promoting Patreon more (in testing videos for example). I always want Patreon rewards to be seen as getting a bit of a bonus for support you would've shown anyway, rather than me trying to sell a product, but I also want to make sure you all feel happy with what you get. As always if anyone has any suggestions for future Patreon rewards just let me know!
One of the new things I've added for $5 patrons & above is the new monthly Patreon live stream, and doing something like that wouldn't have been possible without the recent change to my schedule. Stopping the Friday streams in favour of longer Saturday morning streams has been a big help. Such a small change has had a big effect, with me feeling like I have much more time mid-week to work on videos and generally devote more time to other areas. I'm also really enjoying the weekend streams in general and I feel much happier with my current schedule/time management than I think I've ever been.
