Newsletter: Milestones
Once again another long period where I didn't send a newsletter - sorry! Sometimes I'm so focused on actually making the videos that I forget to update you guys here with what I'm doing :) The big news though is that just today as I write this I've finally reached 50,000 subscribers! I was experiencing some great growth as I've mentioned in previous newsletters but it slowed down quite a lot at the 47k mark and has only picked up again since I restarted some car testing. So to say I was unsure if I'd reach 50k would be an understatement! A 50k special video will be coming soon, thanks for all your support! It feels great to hit such an amazing mark and somehow it feels a little bit more special than the others!
Top speed testing & more updates
So after finishing up all the cars for the original Best Fully Upgraded Cars series I've decided to move on to an often requested aspect of testing - Top Speeds. Three classes have been completed already and two of them are the largest in the game so we're well on the way, and there are certainly some interesting results up and down the order. Whilst it's a pain to get these values it has been refreshing to do something completely different. In addition to that we've had some more DLC cars added to the game in the form of Lowriders and whilst they're not exactly meant for speed they were always going to get the Broughy testing treatment. The informational videos continue beyond just speed testing
During the last month there have been two more Fact Finding videos for GTA and another Gears For Dummies video. Gears is more of a pet project for me so I don't focus on it quite as much as GTA when it comes to video making (and obviously the views on those videos aren't as high as GTA) but I love the game so I enjoy making videos about it as and when I get the chance. The Fact Finding videos for GTA both revolved around changes to or issues with the game. The first of those is all about how the T20 is still broken for guys on old gen and nowhere near as quick, with the second being about the controversial removal of the mid-drive speed boost.

Some brand new things
There have also been some very different videos up on my channel recently with racing game reviews, loot crate unboxings, and an in depth vlog about YouTube money! That last one in particular was a very scary one to make as I just didn't know the kind of response it would get, but you guys showed I shouldn't have been worried. I might try to mix in some more of this kind of thing in the future but the Loot Crate (and others) and racing game reviews are both here to stay for sure. It's nice to do something a little different every now and then!

More live action
Now a staple part of my channel, we've seen another Gears live video this past month and as usual a few more GTA Live videos. With the Gears stuff I've been experimenting with adding music and the results of that have started to filter their way into my other videos, including the "Faction Flipping Fun" video on my second channel and most notably with the latest GTA Live spending spree part 2 video. You have Gears of War to thank for those! There's also a GTA Live Racing video thrown in there for good measure - it's a damn good one too!

A few discussions to finish off
It's not the same without a few rambling discussion videos so here are two, talking about the future of GTA and how it can help support itself in addition to the standard comprehensive analysis of the Lowriders DLC.

So that's it, a month of videos in a single newsletter. I normally try to send these out every two weeks but feel free to let me know what you prefer - every two weeks or every month like this one has been. I'm happy to change it up to what you guys like. As always I can't thank you enough for the continued support and reaching 50k subscribers is just incredible. Onwards and upwards I guess!

From January to October 2015 I sent a newsletter every two weeks which linked all the videos I’d published during that time, helping those who signed up to not miss anything. It spawned from a CGP Grey idea/blog post and led to me creating one of the worst clickbait videos I’ve ever made. The short-lived newsletter did have some limited success with over 100 sign-ups, but eventually proved too much effort for the small benefits as social media and other ways to connect with viewers grew significantly faster. All of the newsletters I sent have been brought over here for archival purposes, as they formed a baseline for what would become the monthly Patreon blogs that started in September 2016 with “The Big Patreon Update”.
