A New Challenge
Welcome all Patreon supporters and YouTube members to November's monthly post. This month has presented a new challenge that I haven't dealt with since starting YouTube 6 years ago - stagnation. My YouTube channel has pretty much stopped gaining new subscribers, and sometimes loses subscribers too.
It's not an unforeseen situation of course (GTA was never going to be something that could last forever) but it's a new situation nevertheless. In terms of view numbers things are as normal and Twitch is still growing as well, so I'm very thankful for the position I'm in when it comes to having a supportive community who in general aren't leaving. People just aren't interested enough in GTA to be searching it out and finding the things I'm offering. Even more so now with RDR2 on everyone's minds.
Having said that the FiveM videos still do well and I'm sure whatever the next GTA DLC will be will bring some people back, but I'll be thinking and working hard over the next weeks and months to make sure my channel doesn't fade into insignificance. I still enjoy making content and doing what I do, and the support I have from those who do still watch, as well as you all who support me financially either on Patreon, through YouTube, or through Twitch, means I'm a lot less worried about non-growth as I would be if YouTube was my only source of income.
It's an interesting time though, and a challenge that is new to me. I'm looking forward to rising to it and seeing how things go from here <3
