One Of The Hardest Months
Wow! What a month September was! I said at the end of last month's update post that I'd likely be talking about how it all went for this month's post and here I am... exhausted (still) but finally ready.
While the "Week of Gfreds" in the middle of the month was the start of the busy period from a content perspective, a lot of time had been spent in the run-up to that planning it all out. Before September started I still hadn't received the Gfred pins and I was getting worries that they wouldn't make it in time for me to put them on sale for that week. Thankfully they came but the response was truly overwhelming. I'm so happy I announced them on multiple different days (first on stream, then on the Gfred week announcement video, then on the big Gfred video itself at the end of the week). Those were the three big points where sales spiked and with around 200 orders in total I felt like I was doing nothing else but packing and posting pins for a few weeks! It's a nice problem to have though and I'm so happy the Gfred pins, and week of videos, was such a success!
But I didn't have much time to rest after all that because it wasn't long before the stream week was due to start. The annual "stream every day" event has become a key part of my year, but it's always an exhausting week under normal circumstances, and these weren't normal circumstances as I explained at the start of the latest podcast episode. Nevertheless it was a fantastic week with some great moments and an awesome final stream. It's taken another week to recover and sort through everything, but I wouldn't have it any other way and I'm already looking forward to 2024's edition.
As for October, I'm looking forward to getting back into the regular routine of streams, video making, and importantly car testing as I gear up for the 2024 testing videos as one last hurrah (hopefully) for GTA 5. I'll see you all next month to let you know how it's going.
