Into A New Era

Hi all and welcome to the final monthly update post of 2023! I’m writing this on the afternoon of December 5th, and it feels like we’ve moved into a new era.

The first trailer for GTA 6 has naturally marked the beginning of the end for GTA 5. While I’m sure GTA 5, alongside (and primarily because of) FiveM, will continue to be played well into the next game’s life, it’s impossible to claim that it won’t turn into a novelty to come back to. Just like GTA 4 is to us now. And I realise now that I have mixed emotions on it.

For the last 10 years I’ve built up a career mainly around this game, and there are so many unknowns about the next entry that it’s of course a little scary to be going through such a big change. But on the other hand, I started GTA 5 with basically zero viewers. I’m curious to see how things might go starting GTA 6 at where I am now. And it’s simply massively exciting to finally be able to get something concrete on the new entry. Something we’ve been waiting over 10 years for now. After seeing the trailer, I think we're all excited for the potential of the new game, even if it will be a big change to what we're used to.

One thing that I know won’t change though is my passion for making the best content I can. I’ll be continuing as I have been the last 10 years, putting my time and effort into content that will hopefully stand the test of time and be entertaining/informative for years to come.

For now, after today's craziness has calmed down, it’s another December off-season in GTA 5. And that means it’s my favourite time of the year (beyond it actually being my birthday) - Snow races! I’m already looking forward to it!
