What Now?
This monthly Patreon/YT Members post for September comes to you from possibly the lowest point I've ever been at since starting to make YouTube videos. And I'm not sure why, or what to do to fix it.
Ever since that random Hotring race clip on my second channel surpassed my original testing video as my number 1 most viewed video of all time, closing in on 1 million views, I've seen a number of other random clips on that channel get large amounts of views and views on my testing videos get progressively worse. And it has all made me start to think hard about what I'm doing, what I value as success, and what is right for me moving forward.
I'm still in that process of deep thought. Compounding the issue is the recent content stealing saga which hasn't helped my mindset on the whole "informative content being worth the time" idea, as easier content always seems to end up doing better.
But I'm trying to work it all through in my head. I'd say I needed a break if I hadn't had one recently, so I'm not really sure what I need. Maybe in time it will work itself out. It usually does. But until then I'm a bit lost.
