Stream Week 2022

UPDATE: Event complete! You can see the full week of streams below, preserved on my Twitch channel as a “collection” for future enjoyment. The rest of this page will be left as it was when this event week was ongoing.

During September 2022 I'll be hosting a full week of live streams as part of my annual Twitch Subscribers push special event!

Due to the event week officially starting on Monday and my usual streams happening on the previous Saturday & Sunday, it will actually be 9 days of streams, with 10 individual streams during that time!

Like last year I’ll not be setting a sub goal this time around, and unlike the last two years there will also be no charity element this year. Since these event weeks started with a push to 500 subs in 2017, with that target increasing by another 500 each year, a lot has changed. I deemed the 2500 sub goal last year to already be too high of a goal to officially set (despite actually reaching it by the end) and 3000 is even more out of reach now. Also with current cost of living increases I can’t afford to give to charity in the same way as I’ve done in the past, and therefore I also don’t expect all of you around the world in all different situations to continue to be as generous as you’ve been in previous years. I never expect that anyway, but especially so now.

These stream weeks started as “push to x subs” events but now they’re more about spending a fun week with you all and seeing how things would be as a full time streamer. We can have an unofficial sub goal of 1322, but beyond that it’s going to be about playing some different games, doing some of the usual stuff, and having an exciting week of streams!

Merch Store Giveaways

During the final stream on Sunday 2nd October I’ll be running a giveaway every hour where the winner will get a T-Shirt from my merch store. Anyone who is in the stream at the time of the giveaway will be eligible to enter, so make sure you’re watching as much as you can! If September’s RP goal is reached, the double length stream means double T-Shirt giveaways!

You can choose any design, size, and colour for the T-Shirt if you win and Twitch subscribers will have higher chances of winning. Ways to subscribe (or increase your chances to be gifted a subscription) are explained in more detail below. You can also click the button below if you’d like to check out my merch store to see what you could win.

Ways To Subscribe

Previous event weeks of streaming have all been done in big pushes to reach the milestones of first 500 Twitch subscribers, then 1000, 1500, 2000, and finally 2500 last year (although not officially). We’ll be going for an unofficial goal again this year of 1322, and that will likely remain the sub goal for every stream week going forward. By subscribing you get all the usual benefits such as permanent place in the stream crew and emotes in the chat, but you also get much increased chances to win in the giveaways we’ll be doing. If you want to subscribe there are many ways to go about it:

  • Subscribe for less directly on Twitch - This is the standard way to subscribe and you'll be able to do it for a lower price this month if you do it on desktop. Use !subtember and !subtemberquirk commands in my twitch chat for more info, and you can subscribe straight away with the link here: https://www.twitch.tv/products/broughy1322.

  • Subscribe using Amazon Prime - If you already have Amazon Prime (or Amazon Video) you can link your Twitch account to your Amazon account and get access to all the benefits of Prime Gaming. One of those benefits is a Twitch sub to any channel, meaning you can subscribe without paying any extra over what you already pay for Amazon Prime.

  • Subscribe for free using Amazon Prime - This is the same as above, but you can actually sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime if you’ve never subscribed to it before. This gives you a month of Amazon Prime benefits, including Prime Gaming, for free, meaning you can basically subscribe on Twitch for no cost at all!

Of course it would be lovely if you want to continue subscribing after this (amazon prime users remember that unlike regular subscriptions, prime subscriptions don’t roll on month to month - you have to come back each month and manually subscribe) but you’re more than welcome to simply subscribe for just one month to support me and get extra chance to win the giveaways. Simply cancel anything you set up after you’ve subscribed. In terms of the actual mechanics of subscribing, all you have to do is click the “subscribe” button on the Broughy1322 Twitch page and you'll be presented with the available options. If you do this whilst the stream is live the notification will pop up and you’ll be thanked at the time as well! :)

Gift Subscriptions

Gift subscriptions are a feature where any user can give a Twitch sub to any other user, and sometimes to multiple at random in one go, up to 100 at a time. It's worth remembering that gift subs can happen at any moment from generous users - if you're regularly in the streams watching/chatting you might get lucky and be chosen, even if you can't or don't want to subscribe yourself.

For those who may give out gift subscriptions, of course it all helps and everything I say below about higher tier subs could quite easily be applied to gift subscriptions too (perhaps more so given it helps someone else in addition to just me). However I have never and will never expect gift subs - just like subscribing in the first place, it's absolutely never necessary. I'm just happy you're watching and enjoying!

Higher Tier Subscriptions

If you’re already subscribed on Twitch - thank you! Your consistent support is what makes these event weeks even possible! If you want to do a bit extra to help increase that sub number though there are a few options which involve higher sub tiers.

  • Tier 1 ($5) subscriptions are the equivalent of 1 sub point

  • Tier 2 ($10) subscriptions are the equivalent of 2 sub points

  • Tier 3 ($25) subscriptions are the equivalent of 6 sub points

I normally recommend against higher tiers because you don’t get as much benefit for your money, but it might be pertinent to those who now have much cheaper subscriptions thanks to Twitch introducing local sub pricing. If you used to pay more for a sub and still want to support with the same amount as before, higher tiers might be an option for you.

Higher tier subs are also featured on the Wall Of Scumbags. Thanks for your continued support! <3
